SustainableJobs.com is part of the Sustainability Jobs network of websites. We originally launched in the Netherlands in 2021 as SustainableJobs.nl. In the meantime, we are building the largest directory of sustainability jobs in the world. SustainableJobs.com is mainly focused on jobs in the United States, Canada, Europe, and remote international job positions. Until 2030, employment in sustainability, climate change, and green energy is expected to keep growing.
Growth of Sustainability and Green Energy Related Jobs by 2030
According to the World Energy Employment 2023 report of the IEA (International Energy Agency), the clean energy transition is expected to create significant job opportunities by 2030 in the United States, Canada, and the European Union. In the United States, the report expects substantial growth in clean energy sectors such as electric vehicles (EVs), solar power, wind energy, and energy efficiency. The Inflation Reduction Act is driving demand for clean energy jobs, which are projected to rise significantly. The U.S. is focused on expanding its workforce in solar, wind, EVs, and grid upgrades. In Canada and the EU, the report also expects significant job creation in renewable energy sectors, offshore wind, carbon capture, and hydrogen.
